I voted ‘no,’ but truth be told, it’s far too early to tell.

I was actually excited about him coming in because he’s been able to the kind of coach that can take a lottery team with talent and bring them up to the next level of being a playoff team.

However, even when he was signed, I thought “The Pistons will need to replace him after a few seasons to bring in a coach who can seal the deal.”

The reason I voted ‘no’ even though I think it’s too soon to tell is two fold:

    1. The money they paid him. That was FAR too much.
    2. Killian should NOT be starting. Ivey showed so much promise and talent and played at a higher level. I have no fucking clue why Killian is out there.

The second issue is holding the team back right now. I don’t know if he’s tanking under management instruction, if management has asked him to pump up Killian’s minutes to increase trade value, if Monty sees something in Killian and thinks he can develop him, or if Monty just has a personal problem with Ivy as he did with Ayton.

But Killian starting is leaving everybody with their heads scratching.

And Ivey’s numbers look worse because he’s out there often with the bench unit and not starters.

    It’s woeful rotations right now.
