I keep hearing, “Should Bears trade Jaylon Johnson?” Why should we trade him? What would we truly gain out of it?
Why not see what teams are selling and see if we can pick up a pass rusher or an offense lineman to strengthen our lines.
Why wait till next year?
The Bears should make the best deal for the Bears. If that means signing him to a fair contract, sign him. If JJ wants a superstar contract (which he is not), then trade him, franchise him, or let him go in FA… whichever is most advantageous for the team.
I like Johnson, but he is not irreplaceable.
