I’m blessed in that I’ve known nothing but the Brady era. This is… ugh

    So you’re young eh?

Because I saw this multiple times. In numerous years. From the 70’s through the 90’s.

    You spoiled kids.

Hope this doesn’t come off too douchey, but I will never understand this take. I suffered, therefore you must also

If I ever have kids, I want them to have a better childhood and a better life overall than I’ve had. I get that the Pats and Sox sucked for basically the past 100 years. But taking joy in watching the younger generations experiencing pain as our teams implode is a weird hill to die on.

That’s not the perspective at all.

It’s calling you what you are. Spoiled. Because you have this “I never thought I’d see this”. As opposed to “damn I wish I didn’t have to see this. I know you older folks saw this I wish we’d never have had these days come back around”.

You’re spoiled. Your generation of fans are spoiled.

And note. I didn’t call YOU a spoiled brat. Because I don’t think that’s what you are or that was how you came across. Some fans certainly do.

And as an aside. I concur about all of what you want for your kids. And my kids are likely the same age as you as all mine are adults now.

I didn’t express any joy. I’m not happy the pats suck. I hate it. But I also have perspective that sports teams don’t stay good forever. Because that’s just reality. It’s normally 3-5 good years 2-3 down. Then good again for a bit and so forth. What the pats did from 2000-2109 and one could argue beginning really in the mid 90’s. Is just unreal.
