While the defense has had some major injuries they have still played well as a whole and back ups have stepped up. But the defensive play calling has been an issue all year long.
Coaching is the issue when you have a QB as talented as Allen and go 0-6 in OT games.

So it doesn’t really matter who if anyone gets signed. In fact I’d argue they are likely better off just sticking with Jones or Zappe if they draft a kid because they are both cheap.
The Pats will beat the Jets. The jets really look like they’ve quit. The pats on D seem to still be playing hard. It likely looks like the MNF game Bears vs Vikings but it will probably be a Pats win.
I personally think the Bears will end up taking MHJ at one stick with Fields and trade out of the 4/5 spot. This is assuming MHJ declares.
It depends on what the final options look like.
If it’s trade back 5 spots and still get a franchise left tackle and 2 extra first round picks and some second or third’s. Sure. It’s likely worth it.
If it’s trade back. Pick up a third rounder and they select a corner back at 10. Yeah that’s some bullshit.

I didn’t express any joy. I’m not happy the pats suck. I hate it. But I also have perspective that sports teams don’t stay good forever. Because that’s just reality. It’s normally 3-5 good years 2-3 down. Then good again for a bit and so forth. What the pats did from 2000-2109 and one could argue beginning really in the mid 90’s. Is just unreal.
