I have been watching the pistons for a long time and I haven’t enjoyed watching a piston this much since Ben Wallace and Rasheed. All the great things:

  1. Lockdown defender
  2. Ball Hawk
  3. Out hustles everyone - dude sprints at all times
  4. His vision is awesome and can’t wait for this to grow to elite levels.
  5. He attacks the basket.
  6. He’s a dog. He’s strong. Fights.
  7. He just looks so fun to play with - he’s everyone’s guy at the gym they want to run with.

Tell me why you love Ausar and why he is the best player in the NBA:

I’ve noticed this since summer league. I’ve wondered if his play is representative of the coaching in Overtime Elite. High IQ. I love the way he stays on his feet–guarding vets like Derozen and Butler. He ain’t going for the pump fake.

Add LeVine to that list. AWE-Sar made Zach question himself in those closing minutes.

I fully believe that Zach could’ve gotten 6 or more points in those closing minutes but hesitate when Ausar defended him.

That’s a rookie detroying the confidence of a 9 year veteran.

If I was a teen athlete aspiring to the NBA, I’d probably try going to Overtime Elite. It sounds like a fantastic development program, and the Thompson twins could be huge for making OT a legitimate career path.
