Has Kleber’s case not taught anybody anything?
If you have an over-30 vet that you’ve already had some doubts about, but who is suddenly having a good season, that’s the time to trade him while the value is still high, especially if you have a younger replacement already waiting in the wings.
The only counter would be if the Mavs were a legit contender and you don’t want to upset the apple cart, but this simply doesn’t apply here.
That being said, I think THJ doesn’t get traded until next year/offseason.
