[November 14, 2023] Alan Wake 2 v1.0.11 Update Released Today!

Alan Wake 2 (v1.0.11) 16GB RAM Requirement Removed/Fixed! Works on both SteamOS and Windows 10/11!

I’ve modified the .exe file of the latest version (1.0.11) of Alan Wake 2 to remove the 16GB RAM requirements error when starting the game.

You can now start the game even with 4GB VRAM without the need to change it to 256MB VRAM.

NOTE: You must update the game first to the latest version (1.0.11) before applying the modified .exe!

Installation Instruction: Extract the archive and just copy the modified .exe and paste it in the game’s directory, replacing the original file.

Wow, I haven’t played this on a handheld yet, just my OLED TV and OMG that looks comically bad on the Deck’s LCD screen, just horrible. Doesn’t even feel like the same environment.

I played it in my 8k Oled TV connected to my RTX 4090 maxed out with path tracing, it was way better than the comically bad console version you played…yet Steam Deck being able to run this game with 15W TDP is a great achievement and awesome to play on the go, especially with the new Oled Deck

All the downvotes from people with terrible Deck screens is hilarious. On same games it doesn’t really matter. On this game, you want black to actually look black instead of gray. If it doesn’t you don’t get the same experience. Stop coping.
