As of now, Tomlin has 169 regular season wins, 15th among all NFL head coaches.
One more win will tie him for 13th with Mike Shanahan and Tom Coughin (170 each).
Three more wins will tie him for 12th with Bill Parcells (172 wins).
Four more wins will tie him for 11th with Jeff Fisher (173 wins).
To reach the Top 10 all-time, he’ll need 17 regular season wins to tie Chuck Knox for 10th place overall (186).
I should note that Tomlin is 3rd overall among NFL head coaches who spent their entire NFL coaching career with one team; only Tom Landry (250) and Chuck Noll (193) have a higher mark with one team.
Noll’s winning percentage seems lower than you’d expect. The years when they were a poverty franchise prior to 1972, plus the mediocrity in the 80’s must have really brought it down.
