Watch he gets rushing TDs instead.
In that scenario, both teams would be 12-4 entering week 18, so the Steelers would need to win or tie vs the Ravens to take the division. If the Steelers enter with one game ahead of the Ravens and then lose in week 18, the season series would be split, and both teams would be 4-2 in the division, assuming the Steelers sweep the Bungles. The next tiebreaker would be common games, which in this case means the teams’ records vs the Browns, Bengals, AFC South, and NFC West.
An all PA Super Bowl would also mean a matchup between UGA’s offense and UGA’s defense.
Especially the Dolphins.
These are tough ones. James Harrison has the peak, but not the longevity due to his late start. Hines has the longevity, but not the statistical peak.
The Cardinals have a bottom-3 defense, so it’s a real possibility against them.
Good thing the QB’s aren’t the only players on the field.
He won’t immediately gain the ability to read the field, but hopefully the offense will do less of the blatantly stupid play calls.
The Eagles took a chance on Jalen Hurts in the 2nd when they still had Carson Wentz on the roster just in case he regressed even more, which he did. This QB class is supposed to be deep, so a slide to round 2 or 3 could easily happen. If a good value QB draft pick falls to their laps, they should jump on that.
Depends on his cap hit. How much will the Achilles injury affect his market value?
This team reminds me a lot of the 2011 Broncos team that embarrassingly eliminated the Steelers. They had a few stars on defense, a clutch kicker, some talented but not extremely productive receivers, an ineffective 2nd-year QB, and they pulled off a bunch of bullshit wins in dramatic fashion. Then they got a huge QB upgrade in the off-season.
His Tebow-mania run is over.
Worth it
Noll’s winning percentage seems lower than you’d expect. The years when they were a poverty franchise prior to 1972, plus the mediocrity in the 80’s must have really brought it down.
Wins aren’t a QB stat. QB B is better, but I’ll take the team of QB A.
I definitely agree with that last sentence. I keep reading, “it’s an offensive league now, you can’t win focusing on defense.” 8 out of the last 10 Super Bowl Champions had a top-8 defense. The only two that didn’t were both of the Chiefs teams. On the flip side, the only team that didn’t have a top-8 offense were the ‘15 Broncos. Scoring points helps you win, and preventing your opponent from scoring points helps you win. Additionally, QB is the most important position, but it’s not more important than the rest of the positions combined. I do believe that if the team is going to compete next year, they’ll still need a QB upgrade (doesn’t even have to be elite-tier). Either someone else, or a better version of Kenny.
I agree he’s not as good as year-2 Ben, but his peak was during the Killer B’s.
Because of this rookie class and TJ still playing like a superstar, they should consider going all-in like the Bucs and Rams did recently.
