Don’t get me wrong, Stroud is balling out and deserves the praise. Howell has played a whopping two more career games AND has been sacked 28 more times AND has better passing stats but is getting a fraction of the love.
I simply don’t think the media wants to be caught dead giving props to the team formerly known as the Redskins. Been that way for many years. Maybe will change under new ownership.
All right now comes to winning. Stroud and the Texans are rolling.
Stroud is a 1st rd pick and Sam isn’t. Stroud is in a weak division and Sam isn’t. Stroud has won more games and has a great shot at making the playoffs. Sam doesn’t
Sam plays for the Redskin/Football Team/Commanders. Stroud doesn’t.
Our team has been a joke for years and we just finally got rid of that ass clown owner. The team hasn’t been in the news every week for something horrible within the organization. That’s a huge plus.
With that said if you want Sam and others to get coverage we need to find a real GM/HC. Winning is what gives you attention. Being 2 games below 500 doesn’t.
End of thread
Well said. 🤝
couldnt have said it better myself. people also forget that sam has a much better support cast of weapons that stroud doesnt have. Shroud has been putting on an insane show for a rookie and has entered the mvp race which is insane.
I’m sorry, but Stroud is better. He’s just plain better, and he’s getting more love because of it. He’s also winning in impressive ways recently, and while Howell is putting up numbers, we haven’t beaten a team better than the Broncos this year.
Howell is my favorite player in the nfl right now, I literally own his jersey. Just being real
Stroud is winning big games. Sam isn’t winning games, we’re losing to the bears and giants. That’s why in a nutshell.
I’ve been saying this all year, stats are great and Sam may be the guy. But not winning these big games? It doesn’t matter. Being stuck at 4-6 year after year, people don’t care about your team when you don’t win games.
These media persecution complex posts are my least favorite on this sub. I just don’t care what they think of our team, and getting overhyped would be its own can of worms.
Sam has barely more passing yards and SIGNIFICANTLY more interceptions. This plus the draft status is why Stroud is getting more attention.
We also don’t want the attention yet. Let’s us get attention for winning games without having to make a last second drive down the field.
The fans acts like washington has only let the fans down. There are many fans of the NFL that has been disappointed by this team too. Think about dont you think media analyst and betters that bet this team arent disappointed when this team lays a shit. I mean we have been disappointing for 20 years and im not suprised people pass over us….
Stroud has played one less game this year and it’s only behind by about 150 yards. Stroud has two fewer TDs but SEVEN fewer ints and has a QB rating 10 points higher.
Who really cares what the media talks about anyways? They’re just desperate for stories and narratives as always. Even moreso now that Brady, Peyton, Rapethisburger, Brees, Rivers, Ryan, etc. are all retired with Wilson falling off and Rodgers injured on his way to retirement.
Look at how little coverage Justin Herbert gets because his defense is garbage and his receivers are disappointing (sound familiar?). There for a week or two I legitimately forgot about Herbert when thinking of how open the league’s QB situation is. There’s big questionmarks as to who will be the new crop of elite QB talent. Plenty of Hall of Very Good prospects.
Fuck media attention. I want nothing to do with any of it. Unless you’re a fan or about to play us, don’t look at this team, don’t talk about this team and damn sure don’t broadcast segments with player interviews about this team.
Get all that shit out of here.
No national press till SB week!
Are you serious? CJ Stroud is having the greatest rookie QB performance of all time…he just went toe to toe with Burrow and won
Meh. Stroud beat the Bengals on the road. Think he deserves the hype at least for now.
Two picks versus nine?
A few more wins and the conversation would be different. Those of us who watch the games know he’s good, with the potential to be great. But who wants to watch a sub-.500 or barely-.500 team besides the homers?
