The rush to be good is insane after just getting over a roster that had us is cap hell for years just to be an 8th seed. We know how terrible it can be being that team that makes the playoffs only to lose first round every single time (this is why the trailblazers are in the exact same scenario as us)

We have the building blocks in place. Literally every year 2-3 player has shown improvement and it’s DRAMATIC(Stew’s shooting, Ivey’s control and pace, Duren’s all around game, etc…). Cade was damn near injured for all of last season and still comes in dropping 20+ points and 6+ assist. Killian has confidence to shoot now(even if it doesn’t go in).

This is how dynasty’s are made. Stop trying to rush things and wanting to trade for disgruntled “stars” to end up back in purgatory. We’ve still never even seen this team actually play together considering 4 players who would get significant minutes are hurt. We are in a great position overall, yes we are losing games but based on the age of the players things are likely to only get better.

No weaver doesn’t need to be fired, this teams future is bright. No Monty doesn’t need to be fired, I trust his coaching and I can see players improvement overall. No Cade doesn’t need to be given a lesser role, he has the tools needed to be a star he is fucking 22 for crying out loud give him a chance to put it together. Hell I know guys are in your 30’s that still don’t have shit figured out and y’all out here yelling at a dude being pressured to carry a franchise.

The classic excuse of “we are young” comes to surface again.

    Nevermind the fact that:

Portland, San Antonio, OKC, Charlotte, Orlando, The Nets, Jazz and Grizzlies are all younger and BETTER than this Pistons team right now.

But yeah. We are young, so nobody should be on the hot seat!!! Even though it’s looking like we’ll once again finish with the worst record in the league…again.

I feel like it isn’t unrealistic to ask to be even halfway decent after over a decade of not winning a playoff game. Every single year we’re told that we’re building to the future and to be optimistic but it’s never turned out even okay. I honestly feel even worse about this year because my optimism about Cade is beginning to fade with his shooting and turnover woes.

I think Troy should be fired if we don’t show noticeable improvement over last year. At this point, though, I’m not sure that’ll happen. I’d be surprised if this team wins 20 games.

Monty Williams, when asked about the teams youth being the reason for their struggles, said, “We need to stop that excuse, if this was high school, nobody would be saying that, they would just be saying do better.” I agree completely, if the players r in the NBA, they need to perform like nba players. This team wouldn’t even be able to compete in the march madness tournament. The problem is not that they’re young, they’re just bad. It’s a poorly constructed roster.

I’m cool with being patient. I was pro tank at the end of the Griffin era, but being the worst team 4 years straight is hard to deal with. All the other young tanking teams appear to be ahead of us already. Being 25th out of 30 would be fine and understandable at this point, but still being the absolute worst of 30 yet again is hard to deal with. Especially when this was supposed to be the year we got some improvement

if I was a gm, I’d only have young players on my roster. Never have to worry about getting fired. Mind blown!

    Hot seat? No.

    Accountability? YES!!!

But this team is far better than 2-10.

There is no reason that this team should be 2-10 right now. This is a team that should be competing for a playoff spot.
