No other PF averaging over 20 ppg has a eFG% of less than 50% or close to 4.5 REB/g like Grant.

Jabari is out-playing him and the team will be better off when he moves on.

Yes he sucks and is horrible for this team. But he and Brog will be gone by the deadline so I am really not sweating it.

I appreciate that Grant can soak up offensive possessions for us while we are undermanned. He is a solid player but I don’t like the idea of Grant moving forward. He just doesn’t do enough to impact winning. He is a very solid offensive option that can shoot and create shots with his rim pressure. But, often times I don’t see him making real winning plays that a guy like Camara does. Not to say Grant is bad because he does dive for loose balls but he just isn’t there in regard to rebounding, screen setting, and playmaking.

When you got Scoot, Simons, Sharpe, Ayton, I think you got a ton of scoring and driving ability. Those should be the focus and then you can always find a guy like Levert to be a 6th man for us.

I think you have the guard situation set. Simons/Scoot/Sharpe and then you can keep a guy like Thybulle for additional 3 and D.

Pretty much we should be looking for another star 3/4 and another starting level forward as well. Camara and Walker MAY be able to reach that starting level status but you will still need another gem who we hopefully draft.

Jabari is also playing against second units, while JG is playing against the oppositions best defenders.

I haven’t loved seeing so many isos from Grant but he’s our best player remaining, so he’s gonna get a lot of opportunities, and he’s going to have off shooting nights. Grant had a chance to be “the guy” in Detroit and it didn’t really work out, for him or them, which is why a trade to Portland was better for him (at the time).

The lack of rebounding is definitely something to be concerned about, though.

If Jerami is so great then why is he on his 5th team in 10 years?

I don’t think there are any takers out there for him for this reason. Will be on the team for at least another season or two.
