I’m bummed they moved Joe Freeman off the Blazers beat (because he was definitely better than Fentress) but as a Beaver baseball fan glad he covers them as part of his beat.

I’m still pissed at the Oregonian for pulling Freeman off the Rip City Report. I thought Joe and Casey Holdahl had a really nice rapport. While I still listen to and enjoy the successor podcast, the Blazers Balcony, I wish the RCR was still around. With Joe an Oregonian reporter and Casey a team employee, I thought there was a nice mix of homerism and realism. But now that it’s Casey and Brooke O. (who I love, but I think she’s a bit too positive all the time), two team employees, I think it has a lost just a little something.
