We should trade Joe Harris and Bogi for him.

Well that was before the trade basically turned into Duren. From what I saw everyone thought it was a great move once the full set of moves played out. Now that he has the contract that he does, definitely happy to have moved him, though I like him as a player.

This isn’t a great thread to reference, because it’s before any of us knew what weaver was doing with the pick we got in return.

If you would have asked if opinions changed on the deal two days after the draft the answer to your question would still be yes.

Sending out JG and Kelly O and getting Duren, Burks, and Bojan was possibly the best series of moves that a Pistons GM has made in two decades (which honestly isn’t saying much).

I’m not a Troy Weaver stan, but I’m extremely hesitant to call for him to be replaced. The last 15 years have taught me that it’s extremely easy to get worse at the GM position. The wins aren’t there because of youth and what he had to work with to start, but his individual moves have almost all been really damn good, and at some point it’s gonna pay off.

Maybe Troy will be gone by the time we get to winning, but he’s laid a great foundation that is bound to pay off once guys start hitting their prime.

As expected, everyone who wanted to keep Grant was wrong.

How would this sub feel if we didn’t get Duren is the big question. Only reason this trade was awesome was because another team has a bad front office
