  • If you ask 100 fans you’ll get 100 answers.

Every one is trying to find a scape goat right now.

I think the problem simply boils down to the fact our opening night starting line up was Cade - Killian - Ausar - Stewart - Duren.

That lineup is laughable due to the insane lack of shooting.

Naturally we are last in 3PA which has completely collapsed the court making it super hard to score at the rim. And no one on the squad really gets to the free throw line while doing it.

  • Man, this is getting tiring. Cade has shown many flaws, which SHOULD be normal for a guy who just turned 22, is 93 games into his career, and is carrying a top 5 usage percentage on a team that is last in 3 pointers taken… not to mention, it’s dead obvious putting shooting around him is how you win with his style of play.

He has flaws, as he should. The flaws are bigger than anticipated, still okay. The whole “not that guy” shit is just tired and lazy. If he was truly not that guy, teams would give him a bunch of space and let him trip over his own shoes, but instead they constantly blitz him and double him. I don’t think there is a single 22 year I have seen in my life time that could do a whole hell of a lot more with this group. Maybe Lebron or Luka?

He deserves criticism, just like everyone else on the roster. But if you’re going to do the finger pointing and ignore the rest, point the finger elsewhere, because there is bigger problems.

I mean, it’s a pipe dream I also share. If I could pick a player who isn’t a top 10 player to come play with the team we have it would be Lauri, but realistically why would they let him go for so little? I don’t think they intentions on moving him any time soon, and if they did some one would certainly put together a better package than we could.

  • Nah; absolutely positively not.

“They are victims of all of this”

LMAO. Dude, if they feel victimized they can quit their cushy job tomorrow. I know plenty of construction companies hiring, getting ready to put in a winter of hard labor out in the cold.

I can point to you a dozen examples of a beat writer doing the exact opposite of being a shill, and guess what? They all still work for the same company. You act like they will wake up to a pink slip if they have the nerve to lay out the negative truths.

The craziest part of all of this is that I’m not even on the doom and gloom train. That’s a completely different topic though because the mind boggling part of this thread is you’d feel bad for some best writers to being with.

That’s you’re pre-draft flex? That you called out one bust by predicting another guy who busted a little less would be better?

How much scouting were you able to really do on wiseman? He didn’t have a lot of footage. I’m assuming you saw some highlights and just decided you didn’t like his game, which is fine, however he wasn’t drafted based on what he could do, but rather what he was projected to be able to do in the future.

Toppin is 25 and wiseman is 22, so that’s still a thing as well.

The smartest 2020 draft outlook was pretty much “this is really difficult because a worldwide pandemic shut down the most important part of the year. I have no clue how these guys will pan out. Especially wiseman and lamelo since we hardly have real footage on them”
