Just wanted to come on here to ask a question/try and understand the purpose of saying we are fraudulent. Not even a week ago we were able to beat a full force Celtic team and for the most part we were controlling the game. Then we have a back to back game with missing pieces from our bench/significant scorers (Oubre and Batum) Also just an Embiid stinker where he looked sluggish and out of it, Nurse also decided to have Pat Bev and Morris on the floor at the same time combined they went 0/7. How does this mean we aren’t able to beat the Celtics consistently. If Embiid plays somewhat competent and Nurse puts out better rotations that game we win. I also get the perspective that they were missing two starters but shit happens. I seriously see this team as a contender that competes with the big teams. Regardless just wanted some answers/opinions on this matter.

We make the same mistakes. Always. Zero improvement. There is no reason to think we can compete with the Celtics when it matters.

We over-help like fucking idiots. We scramble. They kick to an open three. They laugh about how dumb we are in the locker room after the game.

    This is reality.

We are NOT frauds just to be clear. Sixers are a very good team… but we could use some improving. I really like Oubre and melton, but I don’t believe they are starters on a championship team. They would be phenomenal off the bench. Unfortunately I think batum will regress. He’s been playing well which is great! I hope I’m wrong and he stays playing well.

Nick Nurse has the team playing extremely well but I don’t love his rotations. It’s not all his fault, roster has flaws. Beverly should basically never see the court. Why we picked him up, I have no idea. Springer should take all of Beverly minutes. Every one. Same goes for Morris. He should never see the court. Danuel House should never see the court. I’m still hoping to see Paul Reed at the 4. And KJ should play more.

The good news is Morey has assetts to improve one of melton or Oubre. If just one of them goes to the bench everything falls into place

We’re not frauds, I do think we are a piece away from being true contenders though. But luckily we have the assets to do so. And the piece probably doesn’t even need to be another all-star imo, just a good fit high level starting role player.

Ideally we can have a roughly 8 man roster come playoff time:

    Embiid - Batum - Tobias - NewPlayer - Maxey - Oubre - Melton - BBall

Maybe situationally we can use RoCo or maybe springer if he develops enough by playoff time. Really, patrick beverly or kork never really needs to play in the playoffs, and definitely not morris (ideally, he’s gone with the trade for our last piece)

We are not fraudulent. Embiid just can’t play in b2b and horford owns him. We still need to hold a 1/2 seed so we can at least wait until the ecf to play the Celtics

Its because this game was nationally televised and people are still remembering the series in the playoffs. We are not fraudulent, we aren’t even healthy, and we still are going to add a piece or two eventually. People overreact to everything

“We won when we were healthy and had all of our players, but we lost when we had key contributors missing. Are we frauds?” - Are you stupid?
