Noticed in another post saying half life was free for a limited time, that many gamers had not actually played the original game.

I really enjoyed the original Halo. Seeing the Halo the first time was also pretty cool. I thought the game looked better than Halo 2 as well (played it on PC).

There was a lot of hype and hope before it came out. With some hope it would be a successor to Battlezone 2 game a mix of first person and real time strategy, while they eventually do this but separately.

    I had never seen an Xbox, was n64 fanboy. Visited friend, he booted up, I fell in love at the sight of that game. Played first level with him coop.

    Asked for Xbox and halo for Xmas… managed to sneakily open it and put box back under tree. completed the game 2 weeks before Xmas 😂

    Edit: halo 2… midnight launch. Was completed by college at 0800 next day…

    Can still remember the music and the first time seeing the halo and how big it felt. It’s such a great game. I still enjoy the series. Never really got into the multiplayer much. I’ve always seen it as my go to 1player FPS i play for the campaign.

    Stick it on legendary and soak up every minute

    I member when my best friend at the time was at his mom’s house when his sister’s boyfriend left his Xbox. He called me up and told me to come over for some Halo.

    Having heard little of the game, I went over to his house. We played through the first halo for hours and we didn’t have another controller to play multiplayer.

    Being a pc gamer, I was amazed at how good the game looked and felt on a console.
