Jordan never played for us, he kicked our asses back in our Atlantic Division Champion days and thwarted all our dreams, and it is embarrassing that we’re the only team other than the Bulls to retire his number. He’s never given us any respect in kind. It is the only instance of masochistic simping that I’ve ever seen in this league. Take it down, please?

    For what it’s worth, Jimmy did reveal few months ago that Pat was willing to let Jimmy wear #23 when he first got here (since he wore #23 with the Wolves and the Sixers), bjt Jimmy chose #22 instead.

    If we get a star player and he wants to wear #23, Pat will probably let him wear it.

      I think that star has to have that same kind of grit/mentality. I mean even when y’all got prime Lebron, Pat convinced him to switch to 6 if I’m not mistaken.

      Jimmy is cut from the same cloth as Jordan & Kobe as far as mental toughness goes imo. I think that’s why he was offered 23.

    Are u being serious? I was at the last game and didn’t even notice it. If Pat Riley wants to puts MJ and Marino’s number he can do what he wants.

    Also, it’s a bit disingenuous to act like the jerseys are retired and next to the actual retired jerseys.

    The jersey are “honored” not retired.
