I recently got gifted 3k RP so I can afford one of the HEARTSTEEL bundles, and I might drop a little more to get Kayn, but I’m not to sure who would be best to pick? I would be learning them regardless so I’m not too worried about the skill ceiling, but I am having a hard time understanding strengths of each character based on a simple google search.
I’m comfortable with most roles in pvp games but lean towards back line as I’m not to keen on carrying/being the main power of the team but will if necessary.
Mostly have been eyeing Ezreal, Yone, Aphelios, or Kayn. Ignoring win rates (I’ve seen how popular Kayn is), who would be a good choice?
This is ignoring my preference on skins, I just need tips from people who actually know and understand were these characters belong in game play. Thank you!
If you enjoy learning complex kits then I’d recommend Aphelios, he is extremely rewarding to learn (maybe not in terms of strength but definitely in terms of enjoyment). But if that’s not your cup of tea then just play whichever one fits the role you enjoy the most
All 4 of those are carries and only contribute damage to their team, their damage numbers directly correlated to how well you played them
Ezreal and aphelios are hard to play and spend the entire game farming gold so they can kill people later, aphelios is insanely hard and always gets nerfed cause of pro, would never recommend learning him imo
Kayn is easier to play, he does nothing in the early game, super weak, has to farm, he transforms into one of two forms later and becomes super strong
Yone is super strong early, and can scale super well, he’s not the hardest to play but you need to know how to not int, he can be played midlane or toplane with super different matchups either way, watch dzukill to see him in action
Again, all 4 are carries, if you wanna play them you gotta become the main damage dealer on your team
Honestly, those are some of the worst skins and uninspired skin line I’ve ever seen.
I would never spend a penny on any weirdo weeb skins.
Well, good thing that wasn’t the question!
Be careful since I’m lower elo Yone might be banned a lot due to his play style and people disliking having to play against him.
So you might have a hard time getting the chance to play him!
K’sante is a Frontline tank, he basically soaks up damage but in his current state he deals a ton too, he’s full of dashes and disposition
Yone is a close range duelist, good dps and rather safe but that safety tool can also mess you up if you use it wrong
Aphelios is an ADC (Attack Damage Carry), backline carry, probably the hardest adc to understand, you’d need to read whole pages of text to even understand his combos and I’d suggest not touching him
Ezreal is also an ADC, another backline carry, but this one relies on skillshots, you have to be really good at hitting abilities to make proper use of him
Kayn is a weird case, he has 2 forms that you get by hitting either ranged champions or melee champions, ranged champions charge up Blue version, which is a fast assassin, while melees charge up Red version, which is a self healing monster, all of the forms including base one have AoE attacks and can travel through walls, with the Ult letting them go inside someone that they’ve hit, with Red having more healing and crowd control, while Blue having more mobility and damage.
All in all, these champions are all pretty bad for beginners I’d say, but you should really focus on learning a single role, since that’s the only real way to improve at this game consistently, due to major differences between each role, none of them are supportive backliners, then neither of them fit the role.
