He was a 3rd round pick and seemed to play a fair amount. I know he had some injuries, but seeing how good he’s been for the Jets, I wonder if there was something else behind his release. Their loss!

    He was released because of a personnel change from the original group that drafted him.

      I always find it amazing when a player can play so differently based on scheme. You’d think that talent is talent, esp on defense vs offense where you might be fast but might not have good hands, be able to block, etc. But we’ve seen countless times how defensive players rise and fall based on where they line up

    He was very raw. He’s improved a ton over the last couple years. Even at first with us he would take poor angles and miss a lot of tackles, and wasn’t good in coverage.

    I think he was really undisciplined as a linebacker, an issue he had when he joined the Jets too, but he managed to fix his problems. Sometimes players need the right staff.

    Quincy was bad in his first season with us. He learned his role over time and he’s been able to flash his athleticism.
