I liked our draft at the time and still really am impressed by it. Jones has played very well now that he has been given the chance and it a big part of the reason our run game is working. Porter Jr has claimed his place as starting corner and outside of being a little handsy one game, has been our best cb. Benton has been big on our dl, helping hold things together with Cam hurt and I look foward to those guys having more snaps together. I had higher hopes for Washington as part of our goal line package, but he has blocked very well. Herbig shows real potential as an edge rusher and is a nice future depth piece. Trice was a gamble on his injury history, but hopefully he comes back. Anderson made the team and is getting coaching. Cant ask more from a 7th rder to be honest.

I wanted Jones in the first and was glad we got him. A lot of this board wanted Porter Jr and the fact he slipped to us there was like kismet. I wasn’t sold on Porter Jr as a top half of the 1st rd guy, but loved him at the top of the second. He has shown this board’s faith in him was warranted. Before Porter fell to us, I had hoped we would get Benton and to get him later was a steal.
