Right now it seems likely that the Patriots will end up with a top five pick possibly top three and I know everyone is has accepted that the two best quarterbacks are going 1st and 2nd in the draft, but what about Jayden? I must say that I am a LSU fan and definitely biased but it’s possible the Patriots offensive line isn’t going to be fixed in one off season, And it might be beneficial to have easily the most mobile quarterback coming out of college. LSU’s off of line is not particularly great and he’s showing time and time again to have good pocket presence and escapability. I don’t necessarily think he’s better than Caleb Williams or Drake Maye, But I do think he’s a lot closer than what other people think.

I am not suggesting The Patriots use a top three pick on him yet, but if it was possible to trade down, get him and another highly talented player in the first, I think it could be worth it.

Also after the game he just had tonight it’s entirely possible his draft stock continues to rise and he ends up going higher than current projections.

What do you guys think?

I think shedeur sanders looks really good, and he played lights out against LSU. He’s likely a day 2 pick.

I agree and like him a lot. Seems like he could end up being Lamar+ as he appears to have a better arm. He also seems to have great leadership. I think his stock is really rising and will continue to rise. By the time all of these guys are put through the meat grinder of film review, pro days, interviews and all of the tests things could change a lot from where we are today.

Daniels, like Lamar, takes too many hits and he is a bean pole so he can’t be doing that in the NFL. His athleticism is off the charts though and I think he will go pretty high. He has had a nice trajectory at LSU after A-state. I also like he has been a four year starter.

He would instantly make our offense exciting if nothing else and could survive behind a crappy line a lot better than Mac.

Too many people think half these guys are going to slip to round 2 and I don’t think so. I could see 6 guys going round one. Penix is a wild card though with his injury history. Medical guys are going to have a field day with him.

“Everyone knows the top two picks will be QBs”.

Yeah. Right up until the top two picks aren’t QBs.

Dude. Stop man. People have to stop with this.

First the NCAA season has to end. Maye couldn’t even beat Clemson this weekend and you think he’s gonna go in the top 2? Williams needs to actually declare before he can go 1 overall. Plus these guys need to go through the combine and workouts and interviews.

There are a metric ton of steps and hurdles and obstacles before they get their name called. Beck we even need to see who is drafting at what spots.

I love Daniels, I fully expect that once his measurables start coming out before the draft, he’s gonna skyrocket up the board. I personally think in the right system he could wind up being the best QB in this draft. Size, strength, speed, cannon arm. He’s literally what you’d build if you were making the polar opposite of Mac Jones in a lab.

I don’t understand why he isn’t in the conversation with Williams and Maye. He should be, in my opinion. The guy is electric and his ceiling is higher than both of those guys. He is 6’4” with a cannon arm and Lamar-like speed (although not his other-worldly elusiveness). Watch the replay of Daniels performance and Maye’s putrid performance against Clemson today and perhaps you’d agree. He does need to get physically stronger but give me him over Richardson any day.

Yeah that’s my only complaint is his frame is bit small, I’m worried he would be injury prone. That’s just hitting the weight room though. He should be in the convo with all the other top prospects.

A big part of it is that he’s played more seasons. From the perspective of college football as the NFL minor leagues, it’s like comparing a AAA baseball player to a A or AA player. Your expectations are higher.
