I hyped him up at the beginning of the year a lot and said that he would be 1000 yard running back this year and take a huge leap. I’m still expecting him to take a big leap after the bye week especially with a really easy schedule except for the Eagles of course. But it seems like we aren’t utilizing him enough considering we win every game where he gets more than 10 snaps, in both the Broncos game and the lions game he only had eight snaps every other game he had 10+ so I don’t know why we aren’t continuing that trend.

Eagles’ fan here, just hanging out a bit before Monday’s game. As long as Big Red is your coach, you’re unlikely to have any running back put up huge / bellcow type numbers. He’s just never going to run the ball that consistently. The game has changed.

He could still get to 1000, but I doubt you’re going to see many games where he gets 20-30 carries. I think his most this season is 20 against the Jets.

I suspect for most games he’ll get in that 12-18 carry range, and will end up with right around 1000 for the season. (He’s at 525 through 9.) He’ll definitely get over 1000 in yards from scrimmage, unless he gets hurt.

Keep in mind Pacheco had a broken hand and a torn labrum he was playing through last season, which he had surgery to fix. And the team is trying to spread out the carries to make sure he and McKinnon are both healthy this postseason. So I wouldn’t get too hung up on counting stats. His rates are still solid. He’ll be there when it counts.

He needs to be used more particularly with teams playing off.

Having said that, I think he’s a solid NFL starter/rotational guy but not special.

He’s a power back who runs hard with good speed but he’s not a break it big type of guy because I’ve never seen him with an ability to juke someone or make someone miss. That’s just not his game.

I think he’d be much, much nicer if the Chiefs could round him out with another quality RB of IP’s level but was the lighting to IP’s thunder style of running… Basically like a younger, more explosive McKinnon.

I would imagine we are being cautious and keeping him fresh for playoffs. We needed him in the Jets game and we leaned on him
