Chet’s a full year older, and he’s had a year around the NBA even if he hasn’t played until now, so I’m not surprised that he is more efficient.
VW seems to be struggling most outside the arc. He’s a .503 inside the arc, and that’s an efficient number.
Chet was also more of a shooter in college.
I feel like the Brooks comparison is slightly off because Brooks, though a better 3pt shooter, only shot .450 from inside the arc last year.
Brooks wasn’t reliable from really anywhere on the floor; VW is.
Yes Chet and Wemby are both rookies this year but don’t forget even though Chet didn’t play last season, he’s had an extra season unlearning high school and FIBA basketball.
