He looks like the ultimate control mage and I think he will be even more challenging to balance than other 200 year design champs like K’Sante, Zeri, etc. Pros will rigorously min max him and when spring split starts, he will most likely be pick/ban so my condolences to the live pod team for having to balance this nightmare lol. Well all the more reason to pick up the champion before his eventual nerfs.
A case could be made that he has no dashes so he won’t be that much of a problem to balance but the other complex twink champ Aphelios proves that isn’t necessary the case.
Eitherways after 2023’s champions: Milio, Naafiri and Briar, its cool to have a complex champion!
Heck balancing him for mid and support in and of itself may be tough. His Q stats could be nerfed to perhaps hurt his mid lane, but if his E and W are slightly over tuned have fun laning vs that in bot lane haha. Sustain, vision, displacement, poke, enjoy that as an immobile adc. You better have a support that can all in him and kill him.
Casters are already memorising all the abilities as we speak.
Would be funny to hear them call out Hwei’s QQ barely misses but his err ahh EW saves the play.
I never played dota so I don’t understand the Invoker comments, but this does remind me a little of Viola. If it’s in any way similar that would be neat.
Time to do a Mortal Kombat combo to get an ability out
This Is Literally Invoker From Dota lol. Its pretty cool if they can do it right. Invoker is one of the most beloved heroes in Dota so if they do this right Hwei will be one of the best ones as well.
I’ve wanted this type of champ for a LONG time, to bad going to be busted in pro. I look forward to the Azir Hwei 2024 meta/
