Stroud (As of week 11) TD–INT: 17–5 Passing yards: 2,962 Passer rating: 99.3 Completion Percentage: 62.8% Team Win-Loss: 6-4, Frisky but could make a real Playoff push

Luck (Rookie Year) TD–INT: 23–18 Passing yards: 4,374 Passer rating: 76.5 Completion Percentage: 54.1% Team Win-Loss: 11-5, w/ Playoff appearance

There’s still 7 more games left (We’ve already had our bye), if Stroud averages at minimum 202 passing yards for the rest of the season he’ll break Luck’s record at 4,376 total yards on the season. I think if we can sneak into the playoffs and he breaks the record while keeping his Passer rating relatively high I still believe he could have a shot at MVP. Barring any other player in the league breaking out like crazy for the rest of the season. Unfortunate he threw 3 INTs today, but hopefully this is his only real “rookie-looking” game.

Throwing this in last minute, but while Herbert didn’t quite break Luck’s passing yard record he probably has had the best overall Rookie QB season thus far if you just look at his overall stat line across the board. Stroud is looking comparable with the pace he’s going at if you consider today’s game an anomaly.

Herbert (Rookie Year) TD–INT: 31–10 Passing yards: 4,336 Passer rating: 98.3 Completion Percentage: 66.6% Team Win-Loss: 7-9 (Herbert I believe only played 15 games starting week 2), did not make the Playoffs

If Stroud can have a Rookie year stat line similar to Herbert’s while surpassing Luck’s passing yard record with us sneaking into the playoffs who knows what could happen. Regardless it feels good to have a franchise quarterback and CJ will just continue to get better the more snaps he takes.

Edit: Typo in the title of the post, I meant to write “His Season thus far”

The stats have to be there for sure. Division title at a mininum. And at least 10+ wins I would say. On top of that, he’s going to need a couple of more signature wins for the storyline to really get a shot at the MVP. The Jags next week is the biggest one and then a big win over Cle with their tough af defense. If we manage to pull those two games off without imploding on the others, he has a real shot.
