I have seen so many mixed feelings on this sub after this game. A lot of believers and a lot of haters
The assholes only come around on gameday it seems. Otherwise scramble like roaches when the lights come on
I feel like a lot of the nuance of a young QB’s development gets lost in a poll. There isn’t even a wait and see option, everything is so binary and dogmatic which leads to more argument than conversation. You even pit it as believers vs haters, c’mon.
The fact of the matter is Howell had a chance to silence a lot of the valid criticisms he has faced today and he fell well short. Coming into today NY was his 2nd worst game of the season and now they are his 2nd and 3rd worst.
We shouldn’t bench him, he isn’t a bust, but a lot of people on here who needed to pump the brakes got a reality check. He is still very flawed and while there is a ton to love with Howell there is also a ton that should make you concerned about his longer term viability in the league.
Either way, assuming health he has 6 more games this season to give our new GM and coach a better picture, whoever they are.
He’s young. Let’s see how he bounces back
I am a Howell Believer
The new Dalton line. Which isn’t good enough.
I want everyone gone. It’s not good enough.
He’s good. And should be the guy, if he doesn’t regress, but who knows what the next group will want? He’s definitely good enough that if they choose to move on they can get more than they gave for him, and nfl players are usually depreciating assets on an extreme level.
I think Sam needs time to still grow. I truly believe he could be the future of this franchise. If we weren’t dumb and kept important assets like our offensive line, then maybe we would be in a better position.
