I want to talk about Oner since most if not all post are about Faker and Zeus and a few about Guma or Keria, coming into world I believe it was universally agree that he was the worse JG from the east and arguably one of the worse players too, top 5 at best. T1 fans in Korea had not hope on him and they were speculating and wishful thinking about replacement for him. The two first game we got the Oner we saw in LCK summer but slightly better, but not enough.
Since the BLG serie Oner was just a different player, I don’t remember any bad, let alone invisible game for him, only God performance after god performance, every other player have God-like games to decent ones, but the only constant gapping every JG in path was Oner, the only JG in the TOP 5 before world that Oner didn’t gapped was Peanut.
In my opinion Oner was the better player on T1 at world and the one who improve the most, and this will be hot take; he arguably had he best of performance at world, top 3 at worse. he deserves as much praise as the other if not more.
Oner’s Glow Up during bracket stage was unreal. I would argue that he is the real MVP of the entire event. I will never forget his flash over ashe ult to demolish the Golden Road
big O really showed up this tournament. i think he had maybe one bad game on Maokai? Rell & Lee were fucking insaneo style
Imo he was the MVP of worlds as a whole. Smurfed at every stage of the tournament, from swiss to finals. I thought it was smart for WBG to take away his J4/Rell in finals but then he just picks Lee/Noc and pops off anyways.
More proof how form can fluctuate and that’s perfectly normal in any sport. People should’ve shown him more support instead of flamed him during LCK summer.

Oner did gap Peanut though, remember the solo kill at Peanut’s red for example? Peanut basically did nothing the entire game but getting the flash out of Guma + Keria before the drake fight, who were chasing him but couldn’t get the kill.

His Maokai game against JDG was really bad.
I think Zeus deserved MVP since he smurfed really hard all games in the finals he was the biggest difference in fights.
But I agree oner went from being a subpar jg for the top leagues to becoming one of the best all in one touranment which is really impressive without oner getting a wakeup call T1 might’ve not made it oner deserves the biggest improvement over the touranment award for sure.
I can’t remember how many times he just walked in and stole dragon/baron. So insanely clutch
Prob a top 3 jungle performance at worlds in history. Only prime Dandy and Canyon might be better.
Still cant believe how strong his mental is this man went from getting Pyosik type of hate and playing like one of the worst junglers in the LCK into the Tournament MVP for a Worlds Form T1 and having one of the greatest worlds performances of all time

Faker destroyed Scout and Knight
Guma and Keria took out Ruler and delight and best gala and hang so bad the memes are everywhere.
Literally Zeus gapped the 3 best top laners in the world.
Guma outperformed what most everyone considered the best player on the world in Ruler.
Keria made every other support look like a second rate pro.
I don’t think as good as oner played which was amazing, was more impressive than what Zeus did top lane.
