He told us that the most important position is the quarterback and that we won’t win games without a good quarterback. So far we’ve lost to Tommy Devito a practice squad player. Geno Smith who is good but not a franchise QB. Tyrod Taylor who is a backup qb. Justin Fields.

Not only that. Sam has been leading the league in passing yards and one of the most TDs for a QB this season. So we clearly have a good QB this year. How did Sam play so well against the Seahawks but we still lost? How about the bears?! Don’t get me started on the giants. I thought you said this was a quarterback driven league?

You are a defensive coach. You have coach JDR…. Did you just forget defense matters? … and that special teams matters? Like there are other parts of a football game…? But you’re gonna still sit on the quarterback side of things?!

We swung and missed at QB over the years. At least we didnt mortgage our future or capstring ourselves for Jimmy G, Carr, or Wentz, because that’s who we would have ended up with. Howell despite all his issues is a blessing for a 5th round pick. We were also in the hole from Alex Smiths contract and trading for Haskins.

GM is the weakest part of this org but I give him a pass on the QB woes. There’s no excuses for every other issue (bad drafting/roster construction for the most part, coaching issues) though, and they all need to go.

It doesn’t even matter if we drafted a stud. Team is no excuse. 5-7 turnovers?! Seriously?! How do the giants do this to us every time! Also don’t forget we made a huge swung and missed for Russel Wilson. That would’ve been a nightmare if Russ didn’t pan out for us

While you’re probably right, I try to look at why a decision in of itself is bad rather than saying a decision is bad bc we are the ones who made it(but you’re right we would’ve botched a good pick)

I can’t understand how we left the outside wide open all game. And that bullshit on the first td. When help is inside and no one is outside, you don’t bite on the juke, if he wants to go inside help is there so the cb has to play the sideline and trust his guys. It’s cool to want to make the tackle in the open field, it’s more cool to trust your teammates and play the game properly.

Ofc they want to chase what’s cool instead of playing disciplined football. It shows in the scoreboard in the end of the day 😢

I love your pettiness haha 😂

Ron has made a lot of excuses during his time here, but he’s failed as a GM. He punted at the QB position for too long, lucked into Howell and never built a consistently great defense despite putting a lot of resources into that side of the ball. He should be called out more for moving the goalposts.

We fucked up roster building wise if we had a QB 2/3 years ago we would have been in a amazing spot but unfortunately we waited til after our defense regressed
