Do we want to take a QB with our top pick this year and potentially ruin them with a terrible O-line and no receivers? Or do we take MHJ or some stud lineman and get a QB a year later, hopefully with more talent around him?

Other. Take a franchise left tackle or the generational talent at WR over the likely bust at QB.

MHJ. If he is off the board then trade down a few spots and add a tackle.

MHJ or best tackle available. Alt and Fash are probably going to play at a high level until the middle of next decade. (42-year old Jason Peters started yesterday. Great tackles can play a long time. And great tackles are rare!)

Sign a veteran, draft a QB in the second round, bring back Jones.

Maye and Williams have warts, but drafting top QBs is about swinging for the fences, and both guys have the kind of physical upside to justify the risk. You can’t bank on having an opportunity like this next year.

If you can’t get one of those guys, you can’t really go wrong with MHJ or one of the tackles. I know MHJ is “generational” and this team has been starved for impact WR talent for so long, but I’m leaning LT. It’s just easier to find a good WR in FA or later in the draft than it is with LT.

best player available. Our first round pick isn’t going to save our franchise, we need to re-build the whole roster. We do have a lot of cap space for next year, so its doable, but we need to find a lot a value on the free agent market, which isn’t easy, especially when we’re no longer a desirable destination. If we can actually spend our space wisely for once and fix some of our issues that way, that could effect our thinking on draft day.

Everyone being ‘out’ on Williams is hilarious to me. He literally won the Heisman last year and has better stats than Drake Maye (Who I also like).

His ‘RED FLAGS’ are getting emotional after a loss, being cringe and saying hes going to watch netflix, and declining to speak to the media after his last game. I dont care if he’s a dork Russel Wilson was too and I’d take prime Wilson in a heartbeat on this team.

I’m for trading back to stock up on core positions that are currently among league worst…we need at least two high caliber NFL starting tackles. They need to add at least one high caliber NFL starting WR, if not 2, and that is just the basic foundation. They still need a pass catching playmaker RB to complement Stevenson. Are they gonna resign Gieseki? Henry?

There are so many positions of need beyond QB, that if they aren’t addressed first , will only result in another failed QB prospect.

The immediate goal should be to build up a core of offensive players that can make it through one typical set of downs without failing to block properly, without repeated, predictable penalties, With pass catchers able to run their proper routes, make the easy catches and take care of the football. Having dependable plays for players that are capable of executing the plays on any given down and distance.

If they can’t reform the entire identity of the offense, or even find ANY identity other than being a bumbling, undisciplined inconsistent and mistake ridden group that does nothing well as a unit, well then a rookie QB is not going to succeed, period.

I believe the rebuild is restarting, and we are gonna need two years of establishing a solid offensive identity before finding a real QB prospect would be justified. Welcome to the suck, we never really left it in the first place.

I think everyone on the sub is pretty much in agreement in Maye/Williams if they are available or MHjr if they are not assuming we pick top 3.
