Well most footballers watch a lot of football in their spare time.

Gambling on sports makes watching it more exciting and fun.

I mean most of them are lower league at the time which while still comfortable money it’s not exactly millionaires and a lot of the bets ie toney aren’t anything to do with match fixing so while they should know better with the rules it’s made a bit deeper than it should be given it’s no different to what fans do

I see all of the people explaining stuff around lifestyle but I’m wondering how many footballers are financially literate. Maybe some have an “education” through academies or through school but many footballers are poor and/or with poor education systems (which some people pay for themselves).

I’m from a “wealthy” country and even I had to learn basic financial literacy MYSELF. So gambling to me doesn’t make sense due to financial risk, I’d take maybe $20 to the casino that I wouldn’t mind losing.

Which footballers are going to take the time to learn that? Money theory is boring as shit.

I want that big win! Feels similar to stepping out in front of 1000s in a match. Or people want that one big win. You might win a lot of money on one day, also winning money is fun! So bigger bets must = bigger payouts.
