Please tell me they have him on speed dial. We need a miracle here. Seriously hope that Rooney doesn’t screw this opportunity up.

No. I want to see the Steelers finally nut up and go hire an innovative OC that knows how to scheme up a good offensive gameplan and call plays. Firing Canada is great, but if you are going to rinse and repeat with another scrub who is in over his head then this is all a wash.

Leftwich was a failure in Tampa. He’s overrated as an OC.

He said he reached out to the team and they never got back to him. So don’t hold your breath.

No he’s total ass. He had one good year when Brady and Arians were heavy influences and he fell to pieces without them.

If Khan & Weidl have shown anything it is that they have a new/different vision for the Steelers. They like playing aggressive football, so I can’t imagine they’ll go after someone who couldn’t even be aggressive with TB12

why not just get someone working under Shannahan or McVay… It works. Offenses get better.

It will be internal guys to round out the season.

Hopefully that’s enough to convince us that we need to do a real OC search in the offseason. I can’t believe that people wouldn’t be climbing over each other for this job. Job security is great (Canada is the only coordinator fired in season since like the Regan administration). Team has lots of young players who look promising. And a chance to resurrect a flagging young QB (a sure fire way to get a HC job)…and if that doesn’t work out, a chance to draft a new guy.
