This thread has been refreshing. I came in assuming people would seriously be slobbing his knob after a year where he’s looked above average.

Why the fuck are y’all so eager for a non QB? None of the non QBs are even THAT godly like APs 2012 or Watts 2014. It’s going to a QB this year probably Tua, Hurts, Mahomes, or Lamar (def Tua cause fuck y’all lol)

CMC, Hill, AJB all deserve it more. Statistically Hurts isn’t even in the top 3 in the NFC for QBs.

It makes sense because a win is a win but that loss had absolutely nothing to do with Mahomes.

Winning an MVP putting up Baker Mayfield numbers is a disgrace

Why? He was mid last night

Stroud should be the frontrunner, or Myles Garrett

Purdy probably needs to grow out his hair and change his name to trevor lawrence. Then he’d be a shoo-in for MVP

Lamar Jackson 12 passing TD and 5 rushing TDs in 11 games, I’m sort of shocked at how high his MVP odds have been all season. The fact that only quarterbacks are allowed to be considered for MVP is almost certainly propping up his odds/chances, I think if people considered non-QBs, like Tyreek Hill or Myles Garrett, Jackson wouldn’t be considered an MVP candidate.

Man Hurts gets no respect with football fans outside Philly. It’s sad.

Hurts has 13 consecutive wins against teams with winning records, breaking a tie with Peyton Manning and Vinny Testaverde for the most in NFL history.

Since the stat was first tracked in 1991, Hurts is the only quarterback with five straight victories when his team trails by double digits (streak at seven). Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, and Vinny Testaverde each have four straight wins when their team trails by 10-plus points – tied for second on the all-time list.

Hurts has a .389 win percentage when trailing by 10-plus points, the second-best mark in the Super Bowl era (Patrick Mahomes is first with .560). Hurts is 8-11 when trailing by 10-plus points in his career, having a better win percentage than Tom Brady (.378) and Joe Montana (.370) – third and fourth people on the list.

What Hurts is accomplishing is unprecedented, as he’s 26-2 in his last 28 starts. The Eagled are 9-1 in consecutive seasons for the first time in franchise history as a result.
