Agreed. Hurts has been good this season but it’s a much worse season than last year for him. He played pretty badly last night but somehow jumps to MVP favorite. This is probably a year where a non quarterback should win.
After watching last nights game… how. Don’t get me wrong he’s a very good QB but what about that game screams MVP? I guess in a sense he is very valuable because he’s the only one who can consistently tush push so, kind of? But i’d much rather see stroud or Purdy or you know, literally ANY non QB who’s balling in this weak year for qb play

Absolutely. Garrett is a fucking monster this year and absolutely the biggest part of the reason the Browns are winning games. I didn’t get to see many browns games and was wondering why they were winning with how shit Watson played and then I looked at his numbers and the overall defensive numbers and it all made sense.
The Browns defense is historically good this year. So far they have allowed opponents to gain 125 first downs. The next closest defense is Dallas at 163.
They are this good with horrible QB play. Our RT and LT out. Our star RB out. It’s crazy how much they’re carrying us and Garrett is the cornerstone.
Mahomes is taking more heat than makes sense from that game. Red Zone turnovers are a killer and they had 2 at the end of nice looking drives. This game could have been a lot different.

I’d like them to give it to a defensive player if they’re not gonna give it to a QB. CMC and Tyreek are amazing and both having great years but the quarterback is by far the most valuable position for an offense and it clearly shows when Purdy or Tua have off games. They put up their numbers but the QB is what wins or losses you games on the offensive side.
Defense on the other hand can definitely win you games even with a struggling offense. Garret would be a great choice since that defense is carrying the browns hard. TJ Watt is another option for the same reason.

He’s a great QB but he seems to avoid the “look at the talent around him” criticism and the turnover criticism. I get that they’re top in the division and again he’s a great QB but I don’t see MVP.
