People are sleeping on how incredible the roster turnover was this last offseason (plus Leonard Williams at the trade deadline). On paper they improved significantly at almost every position while retaining all their good players and continuity at QB. And yet, after 10 games, they have the same record as last year, but with a much more difficult remaining schedule than last year.

So why aren’t they better?

Seahawks since 2014 or so: why aren’t they better? The whole roster is different, the coordinators are all better, the head co…

Good topic. I think a fairer analysis is to go head to head with starters. Like Abe Lucas '22 > RT Committee '23.

Our d line sucks bad meaning that we have to rely solely on our backers and corners to cover which can work for a little while but soon our defense will begin to fall apart because our secondary is tired. Furthermore I’ve been noticing we are starting to rely on our corners for a pass rush as well specifically Devon which tires him out more.

O line got better. They have there bad moments but a lot of the team it’s actually because Geno holds the ball for way too long and takes sacks.

We have 4 wide receivers (crazy) that we can rely on but Geno is off and on and in our more recent games hasn’t been playing as well but not bad.

Lastly Geno, like I said an off and on QB that can get it done but he’s not nearly a mainstream QB that can sit in the Pocket all game like Hurts or Mahomes and just sling it all day. Which is why the run game is necessary

The Walker-Charbonnet combination is great and we can and NEED to get the run game going. As much as our fans hate to hear it Geno isn’t a passer we can solely rely on.

Our schedule is way harder, the offense/Geno/Waldron have largely underperformed, and we’ve had a few unlucky breaks that we didn’t have last year

They are better? Defense has improved significantly. Offensive Turnover was mostly bringing in rookies and one new guy in the interior OL, and theyre better (tho the floor was Dogshit and now were below average). Net change of adding evan brown and some rookies and losing Abe lucas has made our offense worse, which, is pretty expected given that Abe is pretty stout on the right side

On paper we are better this year but for whatever reason Geno hasn’t been able to replicate his magic from last year.

I think part of it were our abysmal losses to the Rams and Bengals (all games we definitely should’ve and could’ve won) and the fact that our schedule this year is way tougher than last year’s. Also penalties and 3rd downs.

It’s all the injuries on our offensive line. O line is horrendous! Defensive ends ripping right through both of our offensive tackles, right to our QB. Everytime Pete is asked about it, he minimizes it. We got Stone Forsythe going against Nick Bosa Thursday. God help us. Our Defensive front cannot get through opponents offensive line. All these QB’s on teams we play against are back there cooking breakfast. I swear Shane Waldron is on drugs or something with his play calling. Positive Pete needs to quit being so passive and take charge more. So many reasons to name.
