Younger Pete would have dumped Clark already. His effort is sub-par.

Good topic. I think a fairer analysis is to go head to head with starters. Like Abe Lucas '22 > RT Committee '23.
Somehow Hurtt needs to shut down the opponent’s run game on 1st down. Way too many run plays seem to be going downfield. I think getting bigger on 1st downs is not a bad thing when we have a lead, like with a 3-man front.
Having the DBs have to make downfield run tackles really will loosen up a coverage group on subsequent plays.
Here’s some more from the Ravens game. These may seem harsh but if we can clean up these issues in the short-term then we can be much stronger.
Goal line run - RB runs 9 yards by the time Diggs runs 3 yards. Bobby had the edge, so only one lane to close
Run play - Diggs jogs as if he’s ok giving up half the field
Run play - Commits but decides that there’s too much traffic
Maybe it’s a separate issue, but Diggs notices that he’s been beat (0:06) and is about 3 to 4 yards behind. By the time, Diggs comes back into view he’s now totally out of the play even though he’s cut the angle.
Point being is that his speed and effort are lacking IMO. If a safety is slow, he has to be ultra-cautious so he doesn’t get beat over the top. If his effort is lacking, we’ll begin to see more plays where he gives up the advantage (positional leverage) too easily.
It’s so old of a style that it must be new. /s
We had Eskridge cut in too soon last week and now this. I can’t tell who this is but at least it wasn’t Eskridge as he was inactive.
Super Bowl. I’m too bitter that the NBA left right when my kid was interested in sports. I had to take him to a Trailblazers game so he could have some rooting interest. It wasn’t the same and I was a huge long-time fan of the NBA. Fuck Schulz.
We need to improve our run blocking and be more dangerous from the slot. Answer: Put DK or Bobo in the slot and move JSN out wide. We’ll instantly be tougher, have a better short-yard target, and have more effectiveness in our run/pass audibles.
The defense is good once we start using 3-man fronts and figure out the best replacement for Nwosu.
I want to but alternatively it makes sense to bulk up Parkinson or Fant for an all-around TE threat. Dissly’s knees look to have caused him some loss of speed hence his catch numbers are very low.
My favorite AI depiction of the fight. I wouldn’t say that it’s very accurate, lol. Click the left arrow on the image to see the other three attempts.
Sounds good to me. Hall’s shoulder looked bad and Clark has been lackluster.
His highlights show that he often had success when lined up wide. Hopefully he’ll have more opportunities now that Williams is in the mix. I think he’s done ok in the 2-fronts but it’s obvious that it is not his strength.
It should be interesting to see how the Williams trade helps us. It definitely helps Taylor to get more sacks as he’s not consistently good enough to get into the near pocket but can get to the back edge.
I wonder if it frees Dre’Mont to occasionally move further outside like in a 3-front. His 2022 highlights show that he was successful out there.
Football shows are literally saying he’s a top 10 QB and 3rd best in the NFC. These posts based on feelings are just rants in disguise.
It’s quite enjoyable watching with this song in the background.
Geno will be throwing lasers to receivers running 50 mph.
We have now reached the plateau of Jamal’s career. These instances are only going to increase from here; including misplays, penalties, and negative behavior. This is a product of his attitude and (lack of) ability to adapt.
With such a young impressionable roster, we need to critique these instances more not less. I am now ok if we eat some of the deadcap to move on this offseason.
