Strange. Trump’s behavior is appropriate until someone else does it.

These people know Trump is bad and they’re bad for supporting him. They just don’t care.

They think they’ll be able to enact Christian Nationalism when the dust settles.

    And I worry they’re right.

It’s stupid to assume these people know that Trump said the same thing. There are a shocking amount of his “supporters” who don’t follow what he’s spewing on social media, so this sort of shit appears to them like complete non-sequiteur insanity.

Instead of this childish “Then what about Trump?” response, just link them to the Trump tweet and be direct. "This is literally what Trump posted about someone else with the name swapped out. (LINK)”

Sadly, most people on the Threadiverse seem to act identically:-(. Conservatives do not hold a monopoly on the tribal culture mindset - we all can fall prey to this cognitive bias, if we are not sufficiently diligent to avoid it.

A zero-effort accomplishment, despite still being laudable, like asking how well a plant turns sunlight into energy just by sitting there and not being a massive piece of shit. Anyone without strong socio/psychopathic traits is better than him automatically.
