I have an old 90’s indy snowmobile. The carb boots are trashed and I can’t find the proper size to replace them. I have the tools and knowledge do build a work around but not the experience to know if it will work well. My plan is to make an intake manifold out of some stainless plate I have and weld the runners to that, then use straight fuel safe hose to connect it to the carbs. Probably use some cork to make a gasket to seal it, if that fails I’m thinking rtv. It’s a junk sled but it ran great until the old rubber boots gave out. Would this, in your opinion, work to revive my sled?
