This might sound weird, but a game that i have in mind is Ori and the Will of the Wisps. one of my favorite aspects of the game is the feeling of speed that you get platforming around, especially during challenges. it’s not just about going really fast, the animations are extremely smooth, and you ‘feel’ very fast.
if you know what I mean, what game evokes a similar feeling?
AC Unity had such an incredible flow with it’s parkour system. Shame that it was the series peak (speaking of the parkour system only).
Tribes
Midair is a game being developed by Tribe fans
I miss playing tribes 2 back in the day
God, Will of the Wisps has the best controls of any game I’ve ever played. That game is just beautiful
Valley. Maybe I’m just remembering the good parts but I loved the feeling the speed and the weight
Honestly? The PS4 version of Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer. The original game was already one of the fastest racing games ever, but the updated console ports double the frame rate and it’s just a blast to play, especially with a friend.
Ghostrunner for sure
Honestly Warframe makes you feel like a speedy badass. Next to that, I’d say the Marvel Spiderman games feel amazing in motion.
halo infninite husky raid.
driver san francisco.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 (Ps2) is the one game I always come back to for this
Playing loader in Risk of rain 2
Quake 1
Neon White, more speed than momentum but it’s got a great movement system.
Speed running is the main point of the game. Just ignore the cutscenes.
Titanfall 2 is already mentioned but i would like to add the campaign mission “The Beacon” as my contender. Never have i felt so smooth and fast flying through a tunnel before it was exhilarating.
Stormlands
A vr game made by insomniac. Movement is so fluid and fun. It was ahead of its time
Adrenaline you mean? If so Dying Light. Being chased by a volatile at night is the safest adrenaline one can feel. I’m no actual danger but I sure as hell feel like my life is in danger.
