Jalen has not only improved in his statistical performance, he has become our team’s heart. If Orlando’s identity is premised on its defensive effort, Jalen is at the core of that identity. He’s become more adept at handling the ball, controlling the tempo and playing within himself while still playing to his strengths. He has people around the league noticing and talking about an All-Defense nod, well-earned praise. He is our most improved player, by far, which says something about our other players who in their own ways have shown improvements as well.

I like Gary, but that’s a weird option. He hasn’t improved, he was always this good. Same with JI really, dude has been awesome whenever he’s been available in recent years.

Gary is a weird option. He’s playing the exact same, steady way he’s been the last few years. It’s obviously Jalen, but could’ve nominated Goga instead. Even Moe W looks more improved

Suggs by a mile imo. Still a big too sloppy offensively but he’s been great

Although JI prob isn’t MIP compared to Jalen, he’s been the biggest surprise to me. Def thought he’d lose a step or two after all the surgeries and time away.
