So this is full of “what ifs”…but if new ownership in Washington goes in a new direction (fires Ron Rivera) and doesn’t hire their current OC as the head man then this frees up Eric Bieniemy.
Bieniemy (to me) would be the perfect fit for OC in this situation; however, my question is this.
Would Tomlin even consider this because Bieniemy appears to be the type of coach that is very strong willed and wants to be a head coach, which Tomlin appears to not want people like this on his staff.
They scored ten points today.
Why is Bienemy a “perfect fit for OC”?
Just my opinion, but he has plenty of experience and calls plays extremely well (or so it is said). He has a history of being able to game plan and adjust, not to mention his players love and respect him for the most part…
I know the knock is he is harder to work with for some, but the best OC we have had after Whiz was Todd Haley and everyone said he was hard to work with as well (he was canned because of the franchise QB)
How can you say that about the people Coach doesn’t want around him? He netted Brian Flores at a time nobody else would for a role we’ll beneath him but allowed him to stay in active coaching so he could get a HC spot sooner than later. He doesn’t come across as a man that lacks understanding of personnel development.
I’d like us to grab Brian Johnson from the eagles. He took hurts to the next level.
I would be completely on board with this.
I was a massive Tomlin supporter for many years, but it feels a lot like Andy at the end of his Eagles tenure here right now. Spinning tires in mud and going nowhere
EB and Tomlin worked together in Minnesota. I don’t see a reason why Tomlin wouldn’t hire him if given the chance. This notion that Tomlin doesn’t hire “strong voices” is ridiculous. He hired Brian Flores and he hires older veteran coaches almost exclusively.
Na he just goes oh hi to the white guy and the black player yo whatsup homie. that’s fucked up we want guys like Tomlin who are like yo wassup to everybody and don’t look at race.
