We have some up in top lane but there are a lot of fun bruisers to play that really are stuck only in the jungle and can’t be moved out of there. Champs like Xin Zhao, Jarvan, Hecarim, Kayn, Shyvana, Vi, Viego, and Udyr as some examples.

Xin in particular I thoroughly enjoy playing but I don’t want to play jungle at all so I just have to let all these champs go even though they could be laners. I understand why some of these champs were nerfed out of lane, like Viego’s insane perma sustain was absolutely wild on release I get that, but I feel like top and even mid would feel a lot more varied if these picks were there. A lot of these champs have been forced into the jungle and they can’t really leave, imagine this in other classes too.

ADCs have lost like Corki to mid lane and Graves to the rework, other than that their class has remained pretty well solid in their respective lane. Mages are the same way too, there are very few mages who have been forced into jungle that can’t play a lane. Only one I can maybe see with this is Fiddlesticks. Most tanks are playable in top, I would say Maokai and Amumu are the only ones you really can’t play outside the jungle (Mao can be a support however), and assassins really only have Rengar, Khazix, and Nocturne that are forced into the jungle but even Rengar can be played top lane.

Overall, bruisers are the only class that I can see who really lost a lot of champs to the jungle that can’t be played anywhere else. I mean let me just go down the list. Master Yi, Trundle, Udyr, Xin Zhao, Hecarim, Kayn, Lee Sin, Jarvan IV, Viego, Shyvana, Vi, Warwick, and Wukong. That’s 13 champs, compared to like 2-4 from other classes. It would be cool similar to how they’ve been giving jungle buffs to other laners like Morgana and such that they started doing the reverse and making these champs able to lane. Obviously not make them dominant meta picks but even just being playable reasonably would be pretty cool.
