Chelsea’s best performances were against Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Man City but usually when they’ve come against a lesser team that’s going to be more defensive and less full on attack they’ve struggled such as West Ham, Brentford, Villa and Newcastle

    Newcastle aren’t a lesser team… they’re a better team. They’ve got a better squad that’s been moulded to what their manager wants and has been created to suit Eddie Howes style of play.

    Villa aren’t a lesser team either for exactly the same reasons.

    Villa and Newcastle are better teams and you could argue that West Ham and Brentford are level with Chelsea currently or only just slightly worse.
