In no particular order Reid, Tomlin, Harbaugh, Belichick, Carroll, Shanahan, McCarthy, Payton, Campbell, McDaniel, McDermott, Pederson, LaFleur, McVay. I would put those guys above him.

LOL. He’s probably closer to bottom 10 than top 10. Just look at the play calling and tell me I’m wrong. He also doesn’t seem to know how to coach with a lead either. He is still young and hopefully he can figure things out.

Bottom 10? Genuinely curious… have you watched any all-22 footage, and can you define what a successful play caller is?

I think he’s top ten. Coaching the team back to biggest comeback ever last year, keeping this team relevant minus Captain Kirk and JJ, he gives great locker room speeches, guys seem to like him and want to play hard for this team. I was thinking about who is the best earlier and obviously Reid is a name that comes up…but I gotta give it to Tomlin. After seeing how absolute shit Matt Canada has been and how poor the Steelers offense is, he always keeps them relevant. Always. Couple rings and he just wins. Great coach

Absolutely, IMO. I know his play calls can sometimes leave something to be desired, but he understands how to communicate to younger players and recognizes the importance of team culture. Through the wins and losses it’s evident how much he’s gotten the players to invest and care about one another and the overall goal, even if/when we fall short. He gets the psychology behind the game and knows how to keep players passionate and invested. His relative youth is a huge strength in making sure there’s not too much if a disconnect between players and coaches.

I keep seeing the word “play caller” get thrown around and I have a strong feeling some of the people here who are throwing that word around haven’t watched Film to prove that he isn’t a good “play caller”.

Might be a top 10 coach, but is a top 30 play caller.

Not yet. If he can learn how to work the clock at the end of games when up by multiple scores then he’ll be in the conversation

After this season, yes…look at the shit he’s coached through and what he did with the team last season

If we make the playoffs, he should be considered for coach of the year…the dude has been stellar since arriving here and he’s been pulling rabbits out his hat all season
