We should trade for lavine or derozan

This is really the first time Trae has learned an effective system at the NBA level. LP and Nate ran straight garbage. It’s gonna take time but it’ll work.

We’re finally stopping guys from getting downhill towards the rim, we’re just getting lost on some switches and overhelping in the process. Better plan but execution isn’t all the way there yet. We’re playing aggressive and we get turnovers when it works. We give up open shots when it doesn’t.

Trae’s had trouble turning the corner on his drives against two solid frontcourts, and he’s missed shots he should make too. This isn’t the spacing issue he had to start last year. We have a healthy Bogi and Bey around him and DJ/Dre are firing away too, instead of just standing 15 ft from the basket.

The people whining “same old hawks” must watch games on such a primitive level. We have a different, better plan on both ends of the floor. Execution just needs to catch up and you need real game reps for that. Too early for the panic.

If everyone does their jobs and I’m mainly talking about Trae, we can do this. This guy has to wake up and shake off whatever is getting to him cause if he can’t score, we can’t win. Simple. We would’ve won both the first two games if he even played like half the scorer he is.

The good thing is his shot selection has vastly improved so far into the season, but he’s lost a huge amount of confidence in himself and that’s obvious by him missing 3 open layups last game. When Trae is just off that’s one thing but this is the biggest challenge in his career going back to that Miami series. They broke him but he can bounce back. We saw vintage Trae in the Celtics series, hopefully the comeback starts tonight.

Also hope we can feed JJ a little more and get him 12-15 shots tonight.

Dejounte , Dre, CC(until the last few minutes) and Bogi all played well hopefully these guys do it again today.

OO didn’t do shit in the last game until the 4th. It’s his job to make us not need CC to play so many minutes. We know who CC is and it would be better if OO could play a lot more minutes to him because even when OO isn’t scoring much the spacing and offensive cohesion is so much better with him on the floor. Need to see a good game from him today because he’s been disappointing so far.

Bey is adjusting to playing with the starters but I wanna see a good game from him too.

I’m feeling some Trae fatigue, ngl. It’s just so damn hard to build out a contending roster with him on the squad. Everybody else needs to be able to defend well and shoot the 3. Him being on the roster with such a crazy usage rate really makes us inflexible at every other position. If building an NBA team was a video game we would be playing on hard mode.

Unfortunately, every team in the league is also hunting for players that can hit 3’s and play defense. There are no easy deals for these players. We’ve been stone walled every time we’ve tried to trade for one and flat out failed every time we tried to draft one.

I hope things change soon but as of right now I’m looking at our two first round draft picks this season and our lack of picks in coming seasons and I think if there was a time to blow it up it would be this upcoming trade deadline. Let’s see what happens.

Is this a shitty draft class to be a lottery team? It looks like it is lmaooo
