You use your hard work earning for it. And you underperform in your games, people know that. They will report you and eventually you will be back to your real rank.

Why you do that? C’mon I know you guys are lurking here. Tell me the answer I’m just curious.

They think the system is unfair and they are not at their real rank

    As simple as that

Because non-English players with 400+ ping will never cross the 4k barrier, and at night in the EU they make below 4k ranked unplayable (I’m not an accbuyer but I avoid Dota after 11pm)

I did boost my account with my allowance when I was a teen - around 7-8 years ago, because my friends made fun of me for my low mmr.

I actually calibrated in school with my laptop in front of my friends. It was quite embarrassing moment when I got 400 mmr lmao.

Validation and the necessity to prove something to someone, I think:

I have a friend whose cousin basically only plays disruptor and witchdoctor. He is ok for his level but nothing special. One day I saw him online playing Invoker and checked it out. He was playing like a god. I messaged him and he did not reply. I messaged him later on WhatsApp and he denied the whole thing. I must be looking at someone else’s account, he said.

Ok I then don’t see him online for about a month. All the suddenly he logs in and he is now low ancient (he used to be cruzader 2 or 3). We (group of friends) confronted him. he denies being boosted… We turn his entire month absence and apparently incredible and sudden explosion of skills into a meme and we start calling him Amer (Miracle’s real name). After a long time (maybe 2 months or so) he says he lets a “friend” play on his account from time to time. He fabricates some bullshit about how his friend can’t play anymore on his account that’s why he makes the “consession”. One day he is really drunk online, he confesses paying this dude to boost his level so his cousin would look up to him or something… Both him and his cousin are over 35 years and I thought this sort of thing was something teenagers do, I was obviously wrong.

He is also one of the most toxic people I’ve ever met online (in real life he is nice but online he is a jerk). Not sure if these things are correlated.

They’re not in touch with reality which is why they’ll often be blatantly playing worse than everyone else in the game and also trying to flame and blame other people at the same time.

Their brains aren’t capable of accepting what their actual skill level is so they buy accounts to play in their “real mmr” that they deserve and if anything goes wrong in those games (usually their fault because they don’t belong there) they blame.

I think all of us have, at some point, been accused of acc buying. I take it as a compliment. But I do not condone the action of acc buyers. Get a life, work hard, and maybe succeed in life. Or continue being a despicable lazy piece of shit. But you’re what’s wrong with the world, you have no honor. Bleh.

I have personally bought 2 accounts so far. Both were lower than my main. The reason I did it was to practice new heroes.I was a hero spammer in the past which means I was good on very few heroes and the game got boring for me. So I decided to try new ones(like Chen,Visage,Meepo) but I would get reported a lot which tanked by beh score so I decided to get a lower account for that. First account got banned second account still exists and it’s 300 mmr over my main but I use it only to experiment.

No no no, it almost always is their daddy’s money. No one makes hard earned money, and wastes it like this.

Their main account behavior score drops too low to play or gets banned.

They figure why spend $50 on a herald account when ancient accounts cost $15.

I paid for both services before two main reasons: I was delusional that I don’t belong in my bracket; and I was selfish and wanted play with higher mmr players so I can get better.

I ended up right where I belong and my mindset now is: if Nisha or Sumail plays in my game, they would’ve won the game 95% of the game, regardless of how bad my teammates are.

I’m sorry I paid for boosting services and smurf accounts.

Yeah, I don’t see the fun in boosting/account buying. People notice immediately if you suck lol. You’re really getting nothing out of it. Can’t even be proud that you achieved that rating.
