Carpet bomb the defense in free agency. Get premium defensive players with all that money, and please get CJ more help in the draft. We need a receiver that defenses have to game plan for weekly. A garret wilson / Ceedee Lamb / Amon Ra St.Brown would take this offense to a level that is borderline unstoppable. Tank and Nico would be insane as WR2 and WR3.

I also wouldn’t be opposed to spending a premium pick on an interior offensive lineman so we don’t have to consistently watch CJ run for his life.

You’re describing problems with blocking and an inability to run, not WR or QB issues.

If we can run the DL has to respect that and can’t pin their ears back. If they don’t pin their ears back the OL does a better job of pass blocking.

It’s not a matter of having Hopkins out there. Nico Collins is literally putting up WR 1 numbers.

It’s a matter of running the ball.

What happened to dialing up quick throws/tempo for this offense? It feels like every play since they discovered CJ’s magic powers has been these long, drawn out 25 yard plays. Puts CJ in harms way, drains the O-line, and has receivers scrambling for ages.

The last of our worries imo.

Run game and defense (and kicking lol) are much more pressing areas.

This is a WR deep draft. We still need a WR1. We can absolutely figure out the defense with later picks + $80 million in cap space. The WRs in FA are cool but most of them are older and we’ll be back looking for another one in a couple years. We’ll do better just drafting a really good one and locking him up the next 8-10 years.

We can fix exactly what you’re saying by signing a guy like Tee Higgins or Mike Evans as a WR1 in the offseason. At this point I think addressing the trenches and defensive holes should be our top priority in the draft.
