I can’t begin to guess the number of games i’ve won where I originally thought we’d lose. Overwatch is a game where you can quite literally turn it all around last minute and pull off a victory, and I think a lot of these new players just don’t understand that. It’s usually always the person doing the worst on the team, as well.

A million things can happen to turn the game around, Hero swaps being a big one. Most of these throwers won’t even consider that, either. As soon as I see someone type “GG we lose” in the chat after losing 1 round, I instantly know they won’t attempt to do anything else and we definitely do lose. I know speaking into the subreddit is talking to the minority of players, but I can only hope the number of throwers dissipates in the future.

Also, please give us more avoid slots blizz. 3 isn’t close to being enough.

You can gain a whole rank just on mental fortitude alone.

People tend to forget that Overwatch is so unique, I can’t count the number of games where I thought I’d lose just to have it turn around to a win, especially in competitive. A team could stomp you in the first round but you manage to barely hold them from pushing the payload to the final point, then you simply stop them at an early choke. Eichenwalde is a great example of one such map.

I vividly remember a game in Circuit Royale where the enemy team was pushing the payload with ease, we managed to finally win a fight with the payload ~0.2 meters from ending the game. Ended up holding for the ~4-5 mins left and won the game.

For the most part, these people are the reason you’re losing, and you might get a better player by them leaving if it’s qp. People who leave ranked games period are children…

I really feel what you are saying. However, sometimes the mismatch just makes a game feel so worthless.

This is a matchmaking issue. I recently played against a pharmarcy … my dps were originally reaper and sym … ok … no big problem… I played Bap and tried what I could.

One of the DPS then switched from Symmetra to Mei … to play against this pharmacy that was shitting on us in flashpoint.

I didn’t leave … but … come on dude. match just felt hopeless and pointless. It was just a clear mismatch in gamesense, knowledge, and other shyt.

Both DPS ended up ragequitting mid game. I just put the controller down and waited for the match to finish. (Quick Play)

This is sort of unrelated but the amount of throwing I have seen today is insane. I get it’s the last week of the season but holy, I just wanted to get my support into masters by the end. I know usually it isn’t the case but I’m just venting my frustration here rather than on game lol.

I’m just recently getting back into overwatch, and I’ve noticed quitting is EVEN MORE common than when I last played it ~8 months ago. Even if we’re winning, if my teammate dies once in QP, he quits. My dad watched me play a few matches and he was appalled at how weak willed they were
