No. Supports must DPS to be effective. To suggest otherwise is low-level mentality. Those people just want healbots to paper over their poor play.
You can gain a whole rank just on mental fortitude alone.
Exactly. I scrolled way too far down to see this. There’ll be a big fight and one team zones the enemy off the point and the round or game ends. C9!!!
No, the team who loses the point has to have been in a winning position for it to be considered an actual C9.
Maybe shave a second off the cooldown off grapple. Lets him be more active since there is no tank partner anymore.
Cleric is the best but I use Cassia, the green free one that came with his launch event. Others are not great
I enjoy playing with Ball, probably in part because I love playing that hero too (he and Zarya are my tank mains when I play the role) so I understand what’s expected to happen.
Sure sometimes it can get a bit untidy, but woe to any who say playing with Ball is the same as Doomfist. Too many Doomfists feed, whereas Ball players seem to have a much better understanding of what’s required (maybe partly because Doom used to be a DPS).
Going into OW2 I switched my main from Zen to Moira. Both were mains because they were what I was best at, and for me winning is more fun than playing a hero whose abilities I enjoy more. Nowadays I co-main Moira and LW. LW I happen to be good at and I really enjoy the kit so that’s a first.
So it’s kind of both, but it’s a bit of a manufactured result.
Am an OG from the OW1 beta, I have 1 hour of Genji (in almost 1600 hours of play) and nearly all of that is because of the prop hunt mode.
To hell with Genji.
Yes. These are the people that would insta lock DPS before role queue and just pig headedly refuse to entertain any other role. Wasn’t as bad for me personally because I main support, but having 5 DPS and me as lone support was an instant loss.
These people still exist and now they can all play with, and against each other.
Least favourite: Doomfist. Good dooms are one thing, but too many just feed their brains out and do so well away from any chance to get into LOS. I want to help you, but it’s nearly impossible to set the conditions for that.
Ball players seem much more frequently to have that awareness to return for a couple of seconds for some healing. I mean, a good ball should rely on health packs first, but if you do take the time to return (and they do) I will happily heal you.
Most favourite: none specifically. Brawl tanks are fun to run with and I especially like to empower my Rein to win the mirror duel, poke tanks let you do other things more frequently and dive tanks make you feel good about jumping with them in terms of teamwork and it’s a lot of fun.
Just, no Doomfist, m’kay?
I think both collaboration have been misses so far - cartoons and K-pop don’t appeal to me.
But it’s not like the game hasn’t developed its identity over time - it was 7 years before the first collaboration after all. People have liked them so far, so no issues for me.
The only source of confusion I can think of is that in real life all firearms have projectile travel time but this isn’t the case in the game (has he played Apex? In there all weapons have projectile flight time and bullet drop).
Have him try out Widow vs Hanzo in the firing range at long distance to feel the difference?
You’re an anti-supportite. /s
No, supports had been strong for like 6 weeks out of 7.5 years and all of a sudden that’s not acceptable. It seems like people just want supports to be victims so they can feel better about themselves.
Us supports were stronger for like 6 weeks out of the past 7.5 years and people were like: nah, go back to being victims. People just piss and moan because they want free kills. Weak supports helps them in that regard.
Wheat do you mean? Navigating this sub feels like a maize sometimes.

Probably the strangest is mouse wheel down for a LW platform.
But my Apex key bindings are heavily influenced by Overwatch having been my main game for 7 years and so those guys will say it’s a bit weird.
