Blownout by the other worst team in the NBA…at home. This is rock fucking bottom. I’m absolutely disgusted.

A proud franchise with championship history shouldn’t be this bad. But they are, and everyone is to blame.

Everyone has given Troy Weaver every excuse possible. I get it, he inherited a shitty situation. But it’s year four. Time is up. We’re still just as shitty when we started. We’re the least talented team in the NBA and it’s not close. You can’t just build a team exclusively through the draft. There are no adults in the room. Cade, Duren and Ausar are future stars that can’t shine because the roster around them are young and incompetent. We have added ZERO draft capital and use our salary cap on washed players or backup centers.

And our dogshit owner Tom Gores needs to get the fuck out. I pray to GOD some journalist finds dirt on that fuckhead, drags him through the mud and force him to sell. He doesn’t give a fuck about Detroit and makes two appearances a year where he’s absolutely blackout. He got Blake Griffin and Monty because it made it look like he was actually doing something, but has set this franchise back so much.

Stop buying tickets to games. Get angry online. Force change. This is rock fucking bottom and they need to hear their fans’ frustration.

It all stops at the top which is Gores, he hired Weaver and Monty. And I cannot believe he wasn’t forced out of ownership when the news came to light years ago that he profits off of mass incarceration (source) His charitable donations are laughable when you consider he’s the 118th richest person in America, especially when you consider how much he charges poor POC and their families for video calls in prison.

He will sell , thats how he makes his money, lets just hope new owners dont relocate the team out of state. The move downtown had been a complete failure.

They just need to go acquire some actual proven talent. Not these potential heavy draft picks, nor flyers who didn’t have a good stint with the team that drafted them. Go out and get the guys who can right this ship. Everybody is up for sale right now if I’m in control, including Cade. I was a HUGE Cade fan when we drafted him, but I’m starting to see that he isn’t really all that he was hyped up to be. I thought forsure his presence would elevate the team, but he low key be causing a lot of the turnovers. Not what I expect out of a number one pick. Banchero and the Magic are tearing shit up right now. Ant and the Wolves are killing shit right now. Zion and the Pels aren’t that bad. And, eventually Wemby will become all that we thought he was. Cade has looked more like a solid wing than a “Luka” type facilitator

I dislike that people keep referencing the championships like it has absolutely any bearing today. The only person involved with the most recent championship from literally 20 years ago is George Blaha.

Different owners, a multitude of FO shuffles, a half dozen head coaches and several complete roster turnovers.

This is a Tom Gores team. And like every other one of his business ventures, it’s self serving shit that nobody wants.

Question: have the players quit on Monty or do we just suck at basketball?

Tom Gores is the worst. This downfall started in earnest when he brought in Van Gundy and gave him total control. They’ve been scrambling ever since. What’s also frustrating to me, and pretty much makes the NBA unwatchable, is how a team like San Antonio, who had one down season (especially compared to us) somehow lands Victor Wembanyama, but we couldn’t even get a top four pick last year. Not to mention, superstars are allowed to jump around and change teams on a whim to chase titles.

From the roster to the coaching, it’s like the FO has colluded to make the product on the floor as bad as possible. I feel like a Carolina panthers fan.
